MR SEGUN ADESOKAN ASSUME DUTY AS JTB SECRETARY

The Joint Tax Board Secretariat witnessed a smooth leadership transition from Madam
Obomeghie Nana-Aisha to Mr Segun Adesokan as the new Secretary of the Board on
Wednesday, December 13th, 2023, in an atmosphere infused with humour and
friendliness.

During the handover ceremony, which took place at the JTB Secretariat Complex, 26,
Sokode Crescent, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja, the outgoing Secretary, Madam Obomeghie,
expressed her appreciation to the Board for the opportunity given to her to serve JTB as
Secretary.In addition, while presenting the handover note to Mr Segun, the outgoing Secretary
praised the JTB Secretariat staff for their perseverance and dedication to duty. She
encouraged the personnel to maintain their stern devotion to duty while also encouraging
them to continue radiating love among themselves in order to create a pleasant working
atmosphere.

In his response, the new Secretary, Mr Olusegun Adesokan, commended Nana-Aisha for
her accomplishments as JTB Secretary. He promised to build on the Board’s legacies and
appealed to his predecessor to kindly prepare herself to render more services to the
country and the Board whenever her services and council world be required.

Following the successful completion of the ceremony, Mr Segun immediately convened a
staff general meeting, which was followed by a management meeting to share his vision
for the Joint Tax Board and to discuss immediate areas of synergy that can optimize the
Secretariat’s functions.
